Emilia-Romagna unveils smartphone credit m-ticketing service

Public transport users in the provinces of Forli-Cesena, Rimini and Ravenna in the northern Italian region of Emilia-Romagna can now pay for tickets using their smartphone credit thanks to an agreement between the company A-Tono and the operators TIM, Vodafone Italia, Wind and 3 Italia. Users simply need to download the DropTicket app available for Android and iOS devices and then send an SMS to pay for the ticket for the preselected number of zones (up to a maximum of 6). The cost of the ticket and SMS varies depending on the tariff plan of the user and to validate their journey users need
