Entel Bolivia awards 1,000 telecentres to Gilat

Bolivia's Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (Entel) has awarded to Gilat Satellite Networks the implementation of 1,000 telecentres in a contract worth approximately USD 12 million. The 1,000 new telecentres are part of the National Telecommunications Program for Social Inclusion (PRONTIS) being implemented by Entel and will interact with the Bolivian satellite Tupac Katari, soon to be launched into space. Each satellite telecentre comprises computers with internet access, a telephone and satellite TV service with an educational and informative program offer.
