Entel net income drops 16% in Q2

Chilean operator Entel saw second-quarter net income decrease by 16 percent year-on-year to CLP 42.88 billion. The decline was mainly driven by lower operating income, down 11 percent in the period, due to higher depreciation, in-line with postpaid customer base growth, the company said. Revenues grew by 17 percent year-on-year to CLP 351.65 billion. All segments grew at double digit figures. Main contributors to growth were mobile, data services (including IT) and network rentals.
