Eolane, partners open IoT lab in Angers

French president Francois Hollande is inaugurating a connected objects technology centre in Angers on 12 June, reports Les Echos. The "Cite des object connectes" covers 8,000 sq mt in the suburb of Saint Sylvain d'Anjou. Project holders will pay a small fee to be able to design prototypes on machines. The facility's 20 staff will choose the most promising projects and allow them to be produced in small volumes. It aims to foment the production of marketable IoT devices in the region and help the government meet its objective of creating 400 jobs over 5 years. The centre has EUR 1.5 million of
