EQT/Stonepeak offered EUR 4 bln extra investment at KPN - report

EQT and Stonepeak were prepared to invest EUR 5 billion in KPN's infrastructure if they were successful in their takeover attempt for the Dutch operator, Bloomberg reports. They made the pitch to KPN CEO Joost Farwerck in a secret meeting in mid-April, according to the news agency's sources. This would be additional investment, on top of the around EUR 1 billion per year planned already by KPN.
