Equatorial Guinea plans to join Cameroon-Brazil cable project

GITGE, Equatorial Guinea's state-owned entity in charge of managing the national telecom infrastructure, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cameroon Telecommunications (Camtel) and China Unicom, with a view to participating in the 6,000 km cable project which is currently underway to link Kribi (Cameroon) to Fortaleza (Brazil).
