US credit reporting agency Equifax said it has appointed a new chief information security officer. Jamil Farshchi joins the company from The Home Depot, where he was also the CISO. Before that, Farshchi was the global chief information officer at Time Warner and the VP of global information security at Visa.

Equifax was the victim of a cyberattack last year, which breached 143 million customer accounts. AT&T said the breach did not reach its systems, but did impact some customers.
