Equifax appoints former Home Depot, Time Warner exec as head of information security

US credit reporting agency Equifax said it has appointed a new chief information security officer. Jamil Farshchi joins the company from The Home Depot, where he was also the CISO. Before that, Farshchi was the global chief information officer at Time Warner and the VP of global information security at Visa.
