ER-Telecom invests in backbone fibre rings

Russian fixed operator ER-Telecom, working under the Dom.ru brand, announced that it continues its programme on investments in reserved backbone lines, reports Cnews.ru. The company plans to carry out works at 28 of its branches this year, investing RUB 100 million.

The most significant work will be carried out in Volgograd, Kazan, Irkutsk, Saratov, Tomsk, Perm and Krasnoyarsk. Reserved fibre-optic lines will be deployed in 180 sections of the network. The sections have been identfied after analysing data from network monitoring and incidents, as well as in relation to the subscriber base using the network in certain areas.
