Ergon develops AI fraud detector

Swiss software developer Ergon has developed an online fraud detection platform powered by machine learning. During the test phase, the system used data mining to scan a subset of 10,000 online payments in order to learn patterns and irregularities within the data that might indicate fraud attempts. The machine is capable of self-learning by recognising and adapting new rules without manual input.
