Ericsson, CAIC sign MoU for 5G development

Ericsson and Chinese Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch joint research and development of 5G technology. CAICT, the leading national ICT think tank in China, has been a pioneer of 3G and 4G standards. With the cooperation, Ericsson aims to cooperate with CAICT to speed up the research and standardisation of 5G technologies towards its commercialization around 2020.
