Ericsson reaches 4.3 Gbps downlink speed in 5G test

Ericsson said it has reached a record speed in millimeter wave (mmWave) transfer at its laboratory in the Kista area of Stockholm. With eight component carriers (8CC) aggregating 800 MHz of millimeter wave spectrum, Ericsson engineers achieved delivery rates of 4.3 Gbps, which it said is the fastest 5G speed to date. This was achieved during interoperability testing using commercial products.
