Ericsson, Sony Mobile, Altair to demo wristband for monitoring glycemia at MWC

Thursday 15 February 2018 | 09:58 CET | News
Altair Semiconductor announced its collaboration with Ericsson and Sony Mobile to demonstrate a new LTE-M/Cat-M1-connected wristband prototype for monitoring glycemia in diabetics at this year's Mobile World Congress. The wristband prototype connects via Bluetooth to a smart transmitter for Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) provided by Senseonics. The wearable wristband monitors and displays blood sugar levels, activity, sleep and heart rate, alerting the user when glucose levels drop. It's used in conjunction with the Sony cloud system and Xperia smartphone application.
