Ericsson, Vodafone Germany unveil mobile health data service

Ericsson and Vodafone Germany have unveiled a new mobile health service enabling automatic health data transfer from patients to doctors, nurses and rescue services or hospitals at the Cebit conference. The radio-based system can be used for chronically sick people and patients who have just left the hospital. The so-called AAL-(Ambient Assisted Living) service includes a number of sensors that use Bluetooth to transfer data to a communication device positioned in the patient's room.
