Espriu to be named head of Mexico's SCT later this year

Javier Jimenez Espriu is set to be appointed the new head of Mexico's Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT) when president-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador takes office in December, reports El Diario de Mexico. Espriu was included on a list of ministers published by the paper, having been named in Obrador's proposed cabinet in the 2012 elections. He was previously the SCT's undersecretary of communications and development between 1982 and 1988, among many other posts.
