Established smartphone manufacturers lift China market share despite flat sales in Q3

Despite a flat smartphone market in the third quarter, the top five smartphone manufacturers in China still expanded their joint market share to 76.0 percent from 65.2 percent the year before, according to the latest study from IDC. Huawei led in terms of market share, reaching 19.4 percent in Q3 from 15.6 percent (+23.4%) the year before. But it was Xiaomi, in fourth place, that grew the most, leaping to a market share of 13.7 percent from 8.6 percent (+56.6%).
