Etisalat backs public-private model for universal broadband

Universal broadband is a real target that can be achieved through public private partnerships to promote greater digital, social and financial inclusion in the developing world, says Ahmad Julfar, CEO of Etisalat Group. Julfar is also Vice Chair of the GSMA, He told delegates at the 2015 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that the public internet needs to evolve and this requires investment in capacity, new systems, technologies and innovative business models.
