Etisalat Nigeria rebrands to 9mobile

Emerging Markets Telecommunication Services (EMTS), trading as Etisalat Nigeria, has adopted 9Mobile as a new brand identify following a crisis meeting held on 13 July, reports ThisDay. The management sent notification to its entire staff, informing them of the new name. EMTS had on 11 July proposed the idea of name change to its customers and assured them that the change will not affect its operations in any way.

Its a big shame that Etisalat is still owing the Banks despite the ceaseless revenue from extorsions from the innocent Nigerians. It is a shame. Abu Dhabi Etisalat should have taken over the company completely and remove all the corrupt and shameless officials.

With over 20 million subscribers, the business is potentially profitable. It remains to be seen how the new management will navigate the turf telecom terrain to keep the telco's head up in a seamingly drowning waters threshhold. We wish them the best of luck.
