ETSI to begin developing Open Source for NFV

The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) announced that a new ETSI group has begun developing Open Source software for Management and Orchestration (MANO) of Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV). The new group, ETSI OSM, will deliver an open source MANO stack using accepted open source tools and working procedures. Founders of the ETSI OSM group include BT, Canonical, Intel, Mirantis, RIFT.io Inc, Telefonica, Telekom Austria Group and Telenor.
