EU awards EUR 51 mln in Wi-Fi vouchers to 3,400 municipalities

The European Commission announced the results of the second WiFi4EU tender, awarding 3,400 municipalities across the EU funding to develop public Wi-Fi services. The tender in early April had attracted over 10,000 applicants for the EUR 15,000 vouchers, which were awarded on a first-come, first served basis.
