EU awards over EUR 14 mln to 947 municipalities in fourth WiFi4EU call

The European Commission announced that 947 municipalities from all over the EU won vouchers in the fourth call of its Wifi4EU programme. Over 8,600 municipalities applied in the tender held from 03 to 04 June, and the EUR 15,000 vouchers were awarded on a first come, first served basis. The tender was due to be held in March but was cancelled due to the working restrictions imposed by the coronavirus outbreak.
