EU to allocate EUR 11 mln to 33 cybersecurity projects

The European Commission announced that 33 projects have been selected to receive a total of EUR 11.4 million in funding from its Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) cybersecurity call 2018. It's the first time that the EU is providing financial support under the CEF programme to broader categories of stakeholders, with operators of essential services such as electricity and gas companies, airports, water distribution providers and National Competent Authorities (NCAs) for cybersecurity among the selected beneficiaries.
