EU to publish results of Amazon tax probe

The European Commission has announced that it will publish details of its investigation into Amazon's unorthodox tax deal with Luxembourg on 16 January. The EC's antitrust regulators launched an official investigation back in October, focusing on the allegedly favourable terms given to Amazon under a 2003 tax ruling, which artificially reduced the retailer's overall tax bill to less than 1 per cent of its European income.
