Eure-et-Loir invests EUR 1.6 mln in fixed-LTE network project for rural areas

Tuesday 28 January 2020 | 10:48 CET | News
The French department of Eure-et-Loir has announced a EUR 1.59 million investment to bring faster broadband services to rural communities where ADSL speeds are below 8 Mbps. Under the project, the department will modernise existing infrastructure to deploy a fixed LTE network covering nearly 6,250 premises across 156 municipalities. The 31 radio base stations will enable ISPs to provide end-users with download speeds ranging from 30 to 50 Mbps.
