Eurona to provide free Wi-Fi service in 46 Spanish airports

Spanish Wimax operator Eurona Telecom has secured the contract to provide a free Wi-Fi service in the 46 airports and two heliports owned by Spain's state-run airport authority AENA. Unlike other major airports such as London Gatwick, Brussels, Lisbon, Dubai and Sao Paolo, the free service will not be subject to any time constraints, allowing customers to surf at speeds of around 1Mbps for unlimited periods. However, users that require a high-speed service will be able to subscribe to 24 hours of Wi-Fi access at speeds of between 5Mbps and 10Mbps for EUR 5. The contract lasts an initial two
