Every fifth German is computer illiterate

Almost a fifth (19%) of people aged 14 or more is computer illiterate in Germany and 22 percent have only basic skills, according to a recent study by IT association Bitkom. Only every fifth person thinks that they have good or very good IT knowledge. Predominantly older people have little computer skills; 79 percent of those aged from 65 and 37 percent of people aged between 50 and 64 have only little or no knowledge at all.
