Ewe Tel wins subsidies for fibre expansion in Leer

German regional operator Ewe Tel announced that it has won public subsidies to bring fast broadband to the district of Leer in Saxony. Over 9,600 premises will benefit from speeds up to 1 Gbps thanks to the fibre roll-out by Ewe. The company will invest its own share in the project, with the remainder coming from local and federal funds.
