Exatel proposes wholesale 5G network model

Wednesday 13 March 2019 | 16:34 CET | News
Polish operator Exatel has outlined a proposal for a single 5G network in the 700 MHz band in Poland, providing wholesale services to other providers, reports Telko.in. Whereas the 3.4-3.8 GHz band could be offered in a tender to mobile operators, the 700 MHz band would be provided on a wholesale basis by a single network provider, controlled by the government, and a public-private partnership would build the 5G infrastructure. Exatel would play a key role in such a consortium. Exatel presented estimated costs of various scenarios for implementation of the proposed single 5G network project.
