Exeter City Council has introduced PayByPhone into 23 council owned car parks. Motorists can now pay by phone and charge parking to their credit or debit card. Service users will also receive text messages to remind them when their parking is about to end. Customers can also top up the parking session without having to return to the car park. Over 500 motorists are expected to switch from cash to the PayByPhone system in the first two weeks following launch of the service.
