F2i to decide on Metroweb stake at start of 2015 - report

Italian infrastructure fund F2i will take a decision on whether or not to sell its controlling stake in broadband provider Metroweb in the first quarter of 2015, according to an unnamed source cited by business daily Milano Finanza. F2i currently owns a 53.8 percent stake in Metroweb's holding company Metroweb Italia and will need to decide whether to sell its entire stake or a part of it. If the sale is approved it will likely result in an auction, since Telecom Italia and Vodafone Italia have already expressed an interest in bidding for control of the Milan-based operator.
