Facebook, Sky oppose new online safety laws - report

Facebook and Sky are putting pressure on the Irish Government not to introduce legislation to crack down on online bullying and abuse, the Irish Examiner has learned. They have submitted views to a government internet advisory group opposing any new laws for online safety Facebook insisted that it contacted the police when abusive images were found on its pages and promised to implement an anti-bullying hub in Ireland.
