Facebook to launch Internet.org in Panama soon

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had a meeting with Panama's President Juan Carlos Varela to discuss the implementation of the company's Internet.org initiative. The meeting took place during the Summit of the Americas. Zuckerberg said that the initiative will be implemented through local telecoms operator Digicel. The executive also said that people in the country will have free internet access to services for health, jobs, education and communication. Facebook had established the internet.org initiative with the main goal of connecting billions of people in regions that have no internet
