Fastweb eyes expansion in mobile market

Italian broadband operator Fastweb is interested in expanding in the mobile market and will look at acquiring MVNO PosteMobile if it goes on sale, CEO Alberto Calcagno told Corriere della Sera in an interview. He said the company will await the outcome of the European Commission's investigation into Iliad's acquisition of mobile assets from Wind-3 Italia to see how the mobile market developers. In the mean time Fastweb is planning on launching 4G services over its MVNO from next January, Calcagno said. He noted that 5G was also around the corner, which will require more fixed fibre
