FCC confirms Dish affiliates denied USD 3.3 billion in spectrum credits

The Federal Communications Commission has upheld its order to deny small business credits to two companies affiliated with Dish Network. The companies had hoped to save around USD 3.3 billion on licences obtained in the AWS-3 spectrum auction in 2014. The decision is not expected to cost Dish extra, but may limit its available spectrum for rolling out a new mobile network in the US.
