FCC gives outs largest fine in its history for spoofed robocalls

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has given out its largest fine in FCC history, a total of USD 225 million, to Texas-based telemarketers, for transmitting about 1 billion robocalls, many of them illegally spoofed. The robocalls falsely claimed to offer health insurance plans from well-known health insurance companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna.
