FCC grants Lifeline paperwork relief during pandemic for low-income people living in Tribal Lands

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) said it has eased the Lifeline programme application and enrollment process for low-income people living on rural Tribal Lands. The easing will be valid during the covid-19 pandemic, or at least until end-August. The move means Lifeline carriers will be able to provide Lifeline services to people in these areas, even if they have not quite completed their application. The carriers will then be able to claim Lifeline support for the services provided during the application process after the subscriber has submitted the necessary documentation and
