FCC selects initial projects under Connected Care Pilot Program

The FCC has selected 14 pilot projects under its Connected Care Pilot Program, announced last spring. The idea behind the project is to see how connected care could become a permanent part of the Universale Service fund. Towards this end, the FCC made up to USD 100 million available for the set up of telehealth services, with an emphasis on low-income people and veterans. The pilot programme will last three years.
