Federal Cabinet approves new telco transparency rules

Germany's Federal Cabinet has approved new Telecoms Transparency regulations proposed by the Federal Network Agency (BnA). As a result, phone and internet service providers will be obliged to provide customers with a cleat information sheet outlining all the terms of their contracts before they sign their contract. In addition, customers bills will have to show the when their minimum contract term ends and provide information on any notice periods required. Customers now also have a legal right for information on their actual data speeds. The new rules will now go before the German Parliament
