FFT publishes report on telecoms and the economy

The French Telecoms Federation (FFT) has published a report by Arthur D Little on the role of telecoms in the economy. The federation's president, Pierre Louette, said that around half of the value generated by digital players in Europe is taken by internet giants. Despite this, French telecom operators continue to invest EUR 7 billion a year to prepare infrastructure for future services. He called on competition law and regulation to be redrawn to adapt to the digital era.
