Fiat Chrysler picks Transatel for connected vehicle ecosystem

European mobile virtual network enabler Transatel has announced a contract to provide universal 4G connectivity and a comprehensive connectivity management platform to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). Under the deal, Transatel will guarantee mobile coverage on all next-generation FCA vehicles in all 28 countries of the EU and EFTA, with 5G support promised as soon as it becomes available on the automotive market.
