Ficora, PTS reach deal on use of 3,400-3,800 MHz for 5G in border areas

Finnish telecoms regulator Ficora said it has reached an agreement with its Swedish counterpart, the PTS, on the use of 5G frequencies (3400 - 3800 MHz) in the border area of the two countries. It covers technical conditions for building networks, allowing the operators to create comprehensive wireless broadband grids in those areas. The agreement is a part of the preparation for enabling the use of 5G frequencies from 01 January 2019.
