Ficora says broadband aid supports construction of 20,000 km of fibre

Monday 5 March 2018 | 12:39 CET | News
Finnish telecoms regulator Ficora said its broadband aid project has made possible the construction of more than 20,000 kilometres of fibre-optic network, which now has over 30,000 subscribers, and makes broadband available to more 83,000 households. In a summary of its Financial Statement for 2017, the watchdog said that is equivalent to one third of the entire fibre broadband coverage of households in Finland.
