Fifteen Swedish boroughs get SEK 10.4 to help general public start using the internet

Swedish internet foundation IIS said that fifteen borough councils will receive state funding to open a DigidelCenter, offering local residents assistance with IT and going online. They will get SEK 10.4 million in all, with SEK 2.4 million coming straight from IIS and the rest from other government funds. IIS said members of the public are expected to do more and more administration online yet 500,000 Swedes do not use the internet at all and another 600,000 only do so infrequently.
