Fifth of Germans would consider insurance against online crimes

Nearly one fifth of internet users in Germany (19 percent) said they would be interested in protecting themselves from cyber-crimes like malware and credit card fraud by taking out some kind of insurance policy, according to a new representative survey of 1,017 internet users over the age of 14 conducted by German digital industry association Bitkom. Five percent of respondents said they definitely want to insure themselves against cyber-crimes.
