Fifth of spending on new tech will be on fully IaaS by 2018

Twenty percent of spending on new technologies will be on fully integrated as-a-service (IaaS) platform products by 2018, according to a report by Gartner. Mature processes such as payroll, order to cash, procure to pay and hire to retire and some vertical processes such as insurance claims processing, financial trade settlements and airline reservations are already offered by some providers in a platform-enabled BPaaS manner, researchers say.
