Fifty German cities have launched smart city initiatives - study

The cities include, among others, Hamburg, Munich, Leipzig, Bad Hersfeld (Hesse), Coburg (Bavaria) and Lemgo (North Rhine-Westphalia). The majority of the cities with a smart initiative are in North Rhine-Westphalia with 15 and Baden-Wurttemberg with eight municipalities, followed by Bavaria (7), Lover Saxony (5) and Saxony (3).
