FindMySheep picks Globalstar chipsets for tracking collars

Globalstar Europe Satellite Services said it has equipped Norwegian company FindMySheep with 12,000 Globalstar STXII transmitters for M2M animal tracking using virtual shepherd collars. With hundreds of sheep going missing each year, the Norwegian government part-funded an initiative in 2012 to track livestock to understand their disappearance and eliminate any foul play. This funding enabled Findmysheep, a Globalstar value-added reseller, to develop its tracking collar. They are used on cattle, too. Findmysheep is also involved in trials where the collar is used to monitor cattle in Brazil
