Finland obtains EU exemption from aviation radio equipment regulation

Finnish communications regulator Ficora said the European Commission has approved a ten-year transitional period for the 8.33 kHz channel spacing conversion of frequencies used for aeronautical radio equipment in Finland. Users of radio equipment with 25 kHz channel spacing were given a ten-year extension to implement the change.
