Finnish govt plans to allow electronic road cargo consignment notes

The Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications proposes that the use of electronic consignment notes should be permitted in international road haulage, which will require an amendment to the Act on road transport agreements. The use of electronic consignment notes is included in the UN convention on the transport of goods. Until now, the convention has only covered paper documents.
