Finnish govt sets up monitoring group for reform of electronic communication services act

The Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications said it has appointed a monitoring group for a term from 28 January 2019 until 31 December 2020 in order to reform the Act on Electronic Communication Services. The purpose of the reform is to implement the requirements of the EU Directive on audiovisual media services (AVMS Directive) and the European Electronic Communications Code (telecoms package directive).  At the same time, it is also possible to reform other parts of the regulatory framework for electronic communications.
