Finnish ISPs told to add more info on speed to contracts

The Finnish communications regulatory authority (Ficora) has stated the minimum requirements for the way in which the speed of a broadband service must be mentioned in consumer contracts. The aim of Ficora's statement is to make it easier for consumers to compare the broadband services available on the market. The data transmission speed promised for consumers must also be accurately included in contracts to ensure the legal protection of consumers in fault situations. The speed included in the contract must depict the true speed range of the connection with sufficient precision. It is not
